Though they may be overlooked, guardrails are important countermeasures to mitigating fatalities and injuries that result from roadway departure (RwD) crashes, which account for more than 50 percent of all motor vehicle traffic fatalities.

The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA), in partnership with the National Academy of Sciences’ Transportation Research Board (TRB), today honored the winners of the ATSSA/TRB Traffic Control Device Challenge (TCD Challenge).

Three exhibitors at ATSSA’s 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo received ATSSA Innovation Awards and were recognized for producing products that directly addressed leading issues within the industry and further advancing roadway safety.

The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) will partner with FailSafe-ERA on the Right Road Job Training and Placement Program, a program that helps qualified returning citizens receive the training and job resources they need to put them on a path to success in temporary  traffic control.
