Jim Pancero, a Dallas-based sales and sales leadership speaker, trainer and consultant, has spent the past four decades helping distributors and equipment manufacturers increase their competitive advantage and strengthen their sales leadership skills.

Pancero will share his expertise at 3 p.m. on Feb. 17 during one of nearly 50 education sessions offered during ATSSA’s 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. The Convention is being held online over two weeks in February – Feb. 8-12 and 16-18.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (Dec. 14, 2020) – ATSSA kicks off its 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo with a Roadway Worker Protection Summit, going to the heart of the Association’s lifesaving mission.

The Summit features a panel discussion in which two ATSSA members share the painful experience of losing an employee in a work zone incident. They will discuss resources that helped the employee’s family and their team through the aftermath. They also will talk about tips and tools aimed at preventing work zone injuries and deaths such as training, certification and equipment.

The two-hour Summit is the first session of the 2021 Convention & Traffic Expo, which is being held online over two weeks -- Feb. 8-12 and 16-18.

ATSSA members know better than most that our lives are connected to the roads and highways. We travel them. We work on them. We do our best to make them safe.

And so, with a nod to the song, “Life is a Highway,” we’re looking for photos and videos showing you and your team engaged in your daily work life.

Our goal is to pull together images from across the globe showing our members at work and then share them in a video during the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo.

ATSSA is offering a special registration rate for public agency officials to attend its 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo, which will be held over two weeks in February.

The special rate of $49 gives public agency officials access to all aspects of this fully virtual event that runs from Feb. 8-12 and 16-18. Registration includes all education breakouts, general sessions, technical committee meetings, networking events, the Circle of Innovation, and Traffic Expo.

Think you’ve got the goods to wow the judges at the New Products Rollout? Here’s your chance.

Applications are now open for members wanting to enter their innovations in the New Products Rollout at the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. Products released after Jan. 1, 2020 to qualify. All new innovations will be accepted for the New Product Listing, but only 12 will be accepted for presentation to a panel of judges. The top three products will earn an Innovation Award that will be announced during the Convention, which will be held virtually in Feb 8-12 and 16-18.

“The New Products Rollout offers members the opportunity to get their creative ideas to roadway safety issues in front of thousands of people who take part in ATSSA’s Convention & Traffic Expo,” said ATSSA Director of Innovation & Technical Services Eric Perry. “The exposure provided by this event is unparalleled.”

ATSSA’s annual Convention & Traffic Expo will go fully virtual for 2021.

“It’s vital to stay connected as we continue the critical work of advancing roadway safety. Our team is planning an industry-leading virtual event that will be timely, engaging and highlight the latest products, services, trends and education during the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo,” ATSSA President & CEO Stacy Tetschner said. “Our work is essential and the value of this type of collaboration cannot be overstated as we work Toward Zero Deaths.”

Dates for the 2021 Convention & Traffic Expo have adjusted for the virtual format to provide all of the elements that make this the premier event of the roadway safety industry. It will be held in February over a two-week period to make it convenient and readily accessible for everyone.

Nominations are open for ATSSA’s Industry Achievement Award

Nominations are now open for ATSSA’s 2020 Industry Achievement Award, given annually to acknowledge an Association member who made significant contributions to ATSSA and the roadway safety infrastructure industry.

Nominations are due by Nov. 15 for recognition at the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in 2021.

The Industry Achievement Award is the Association’s highest honor and is given to recognize ATSSA members who achieve distinction deemed worthy of special recognition. To be eligible, the person must be a current member or have been a member for at least 10 years. Only ATSSA members may submit a nomination.

ATSSA’s 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo takes place Jan. 29-Feb. 2 and President & CEO Stacy Tetschner looks forward to making his first ATSSA convention an unforgettable event.

ATSSA is moving ahead with preparations for the 51st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo with the expectation that an in-person meeting will be possible in San Diego. People also have the option of registering for virtual attendance.

A decision will be made by Sept. 30 whether to hold the Convention as a fully virtual event.
