A message from ATSSA President & CEO Stacy Tetschner regarding injustice

A message to our members:

As our industry and our country navigate challenging times, we at ATSSA continue to look for ways in which to facilitate an environment that allows our members and their employees to have the opportunity to safely work and own businesses. As such, we were outraged by the senseless death of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25. As a leader in this industry, as a man in this world and as a father, I grieve what happened there as well as every act of injustice in America today. Supporting a citizen’s right to peacefully protest and advocate change is inherent to what this country stands for and will be what ultimately leads to a safer, stronger America.

At ATSSA, our core purpose is to save lives on our roadways with the goal of moving Toward Zero Deaths. It is no less our mission as individuals to stand against injustice and oppression wherever it exists so that no other lives are senselessly lost. My hope is that in the days ahead we will search our hearts, become more attuned to the perspectives of others, and come together with a new resolve to see every individual treated with the dignity, respect and kindness every person deserves.

As I begin to travel to meet our members as the new President and CEO of ATSSA, I look forward to engaging in conversations on how we can move forward on this goal and the many other opportunities and challenges ahead for our industry. In the meantime, please reach out to me any time.
