Nason was confirmed after the U.S. Senate voted on her nomination. "ATSSA's more than 1,500 members congratulate Administrator Nason on her confirmation. We look forward to working with her to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on our nation’s roads through roadway safety infrastructure investments. Through working together on initiatives such as National Work Zone Awareness Week and Every Day Counts, among many others, ATSSA and FHWA can ensure that families arrive home alive each and every day,” said ATSSA’s President & CEO Roger Wentz. ATSSA is the leader in roadway safety infrastructure, and represents organizations across the country that manufacture, supply, install, and maintain roadway safety infrastructure devices that save lives on U.S. roadways. Nason has an extensive background working in government, most recently serving as the Bureau of Administration’s Assistant Secretary. She has also served as Acting Assistant Secretary of Overseas Building Operations, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State, and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration administrator, among several other roles.
