Planned Giving: Choose now to create a lasting legacy

Today’s decision can impact lives for generations

Making a difference is one of life’s great joys. Choosing now to participate in The ATSS Foundation Planned Giving program will touch lives for generations.

“There are countless things in life we can’t control but one thing we can is how to leave a legacy that pays dividends through the lives it will touch,” said Lori Diaz, director of The Foundation. “As you evaluate your long-term financial plans, we hope you will consider investing in the future of lives affected by tragedy.”

The ATSS Foundation Planned Giving program helps sustain The Foundation’s mission and provides a way to support the dependents of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled on the job.

Planned giving, which is philanthropy that involves estate and financial planning, also offers benefits to the donor by reducing taxes.

Donors may choose to establish a bequest, a charitable trust or list The Foundation as a beneficiary in a retirement plan or life insurance policy. Planned gifts may be outright or deferred based on the donor's timeline. They also may be revocable or irrevocable based on the donor's gift type. Individuals interested in planned giving should contact their financial planner or tax advisor to learn about their options and to make the gift most suited to their wishes and financial situation.

Individuals who choose to support The Foundation through a planned gift are recognized as members of the Legacy Circle unless they prefer to remain anonymous. The Legacy Circle Gift  Intention Form provides a confidential way to make The Foundation aware of your plans.
