Supporting The ATSS Foundation on ‘Giving Tuesday’ helps it finish strong

Every bit helps The Foundation carry out its charitable and educational work in a challenging year

ATSSA members’ support of The ATSS Foundation has helped it through a challenging year. “Giving Tuesday” is tomorrow and offers another opportunity to help the nonprofit Foundation finish strong.

The Foundation’s goal in this one-day effort is $5,000 and every bit helps.

This global day of giving offers a great way to support the work The Foundation does all year. Even amid the pandemic, The Foundation continued its core purpose of promoting roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness. Here are some highlights of the first 11 months of 2020:

  • Awarded 14 Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarships and three Chuck Bailey Memorial Scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year to the dependents of men and women killed or permanently disabled in work zone incidents.
  • Launched the Marty Weed Engineering Scholarship program.
  • Completed the first year of the Planned Giving program.
  • Created a virtual memorial to supplement the National Work Zone Memorial so it can be viewed remotely or in person.
  • Launched an activity book for children to promote work zone safety.
  • Added names to the National Work Zone Memorial for 2021.
