ATSSA’s 51^st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo takes place Jan. 29-Feb. 2 and President & CEO Stacy Tetschner looks forward to making his first ATSSA convention an unforgettable event.

ATSSA is moving ahead with preparations for the 51^st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo with the expectation that an in-person meeting will be possible in San Diego. People also have the option of registering for virtual attendance.

A decision will be made by Sept. 30 whether to hold the Convention as a fully virtual event.

It’s not too late to submit your proposals to lead education sessions for the 51^st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo scheduled for San Diego from Jan. 29 through Feb. 2. ATSSA has extended the deadline to July 9 to allow more time for industry experts to provide their insights and expertise during this annual event, which is confirmed for 2021.

Sessions that can be conducted virtually or pre-recorded are of particular interest as well as topics that address how you dealt with the challenges and opportunities presented by the pandemic.

ATSSA seeks your proposals to lead educational sessions for the 51^st Annual Convention & Traffic Expo scheduled for San Diego from Jan. 29 through Feb. 2. The event may have some new twists in 2021 due to the global pandemic but it’s still on and applications to present your industry insights and expertise are now available. Applications are now open for proposals and due by June 25.

“We are excited to see what topics and ideas the industry will bring forward with this Call for Proposals,” said ATSSA Training Program Manager Jessica Scheyder. “Sessions that can be conducted virtually or pre-recorded will be of particular interest, as well as sessions that address the obstacles and opportunities related to the current pandemic environment.”

Today, ATSSA announced the winner of its National Safety Award. Longtime ATSSA member Scott McCanna, the senior transportation project engineer for David Evans and Associates, Inc., was presented with the safety award during the Opening General Session of the American Traffic Safety Services Association’s (ATSSA’s) 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in Tampa Bay, Florida.

During ATSSA’s 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in Tampa, Florida, Feb. 8-12, the association will hold an open forum on bid specification enforcement.
