ATSSA asked four members who are leaders in different segments of the roadway safety infrastructure industry for their views on those questions and more for the Winter issue of Roadway Safety magazine, which is online today. Read what they had to say and see how their views compare to your own.

ATSSA’s Midyear Meeting provided bountiful opportunities to reconnect, explore solutions to roadway safety infrastructure challenges, socialize over pickleball and hear from automotive industry experts.

Pickleball and cornhole offer fun ways to support The ATSS Foundation

Midyear Meeting includes Foundation fundraiser organized by HOA-ATSSA Chapter

The Heart of America ATSSA Chapter is hosting a fundraiser for The ATSS Foundation during the Midyear Meeting in Kansas City, Mo. in August.

Enjoy pickleball, cornhole and other yard games while dining at Chicken N Pickle, a popular Kansas City restaurant that combines food and recreation. The HOA-ATSSA event provides opportunities for networking with other roadway safety professionals. Transportation will be available to and from the host hotel.

Net proceeds benefit The Foundation, which is the charitable arm of ATSSA. It was formed in 1988 with the core purpose to promote roadway safety through charitable giving and public awareness programs.

Kansas legislature passes transportation funding bill

Heart of America ATSSA Chapter members lobbied for passage during Feb. visit

Today, both houses of the Kansas legislature voted to pass a transportation funding bill and sent it to Gov. Laura Kelly’s desk. Members of the Heart of America-ATSSA (HOA-ATSSA) Chapter leadership participated in the Economic Lifelines coalition advocacy day in Topeka on Feb. 12. They had a booth in the state Capitol highlighting the work that ATSSA members do throughout Kansas. Additionally, they met with Transportation Committee leaders and the state Secretary of Transportation and participated in a press conference with the governor.
