ATSS Foundation announces Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship recipients

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (June 3, 2020) – The American Traffic Safety Services Foundation awarded 14 Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarships and three Chuck Bailey Memorial Scholarships to college and university students around the country for the 2020-21 academic year.

The Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for post-high school education to dependents of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in roadway work zones. The program is competitive and provides scholarships with values up to $10,000 per student each year. Applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteerism may be eligible for an additional $1,000 in honor of Chuck Bailey, a member of the roadway safety industry who died in 2002.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (Feb. 6, 2020) – The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) announces the appointment of Stacy Tetschner as president and CEO, effective March 16. Tetschner succeeds Roger Wentz who is retiring after more than 22 years as president and CEO. Tetschner most recently served as president and CEO of the United Motorcoach Association (UMA). 

Tetschner is a seasoned and credentialed association professional with 20 years of experience as a CEO. He began his tenure at UMA in June of 2017 following a nationwide search. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), as well as a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (FASAE).

3M supports The Foundation with Toward Zero Deaths Virtual Pledge Wall

3M’s Transportation Safety Division once again hosted the 3M Toward Zero Deaths Virtual Pledge Wall in support of the American Traffic Safety Services Foundation (ATSS Foundation). Online donations were accepted until Feb. 12—the end of ATSSA's Annual 49th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo—and totaled up to more than $15,000 thanks to the association’s generous supporters and partnering company, 3M.
