The new deadline is Dec. 15. Products selected for participation will be judged by public officials and could be named one of the top three items and receive an Innovation Award. All members receiving an Innovation Award earn the coveted honor of presenting their product during the Circle of Innovation, an event attended by top industry officials, including public agency officials. The new rules adopted today make the lower 45 megahertz of the spectrum available for unlicensed uses. They require Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) licensees to stop using this portion of the spectrum within a year.
