This four-hour course is designed to provide an overview of the inner workings of a traffic signal cabinet and the connected technologies. From ATSSA's Traffic Signal Training Courses, it covers cabinet architectures, controller styles and detection technologies, as well as emerging technologies such as those provided for connected and automated vehicles. The presentation includes pictures of the various styles of cabinet architecture and controller types to provide students with understanding and recognition when inside a traffic signal cabinet assembly. It also provides information on maintenance needs and requirements for equipment.
